This luggage was painted for my trip to Antarctica. It brightened up the landscape! I painted roses near the handles on the top and sides of each of the pieces. When I checked in at the ticket counter, I was asked by the agent if I was selling these! I wish I could have said "Yes!". My luggage was easy to find, and I was assigned the tag line, "Antarctic Barbie".
I continue to use the luggage and truly enjoy it! By the way, I bought the luggage for $49.95 for the three pieces. The black garment bag pictured behind the pink luggage was about the same price. I painted roses on the gussets of the garment bag so that the bags piggybacked on the garment bag would not mar the roses. I was able to maneuver all of the luggage by myself.

I knew there would be roses somewhere in your post. We both share the love for pink. I took a class from you back in the early 90's and we painted a single rose - but it wasn't pink, it was yellow on a lavender background and it is so pretty. I will have to post it on my blog next week but tomorrow it will be something pink. So glad you joined this great group of ladies.
Yes, roses! How could I not post pink roses for my first Pink Saturday! I am really looking forward to this! I will visit your blog Saturday to see what you have posted. A yellow rose on a lavendar background means there must have been red-violet in there somewhere!
I never would have thought of painting my luggage. How clever! ANd you even got a compliment :-) And yes, you sure can see a pink approaching amongst off the blacks and other dark colored ones :-)

My first Pink Saturday today too. Just wanted to visit the other newbies. Love the pink luggage on its own, hard to have someone steal it, but then adding the painted flowers. I would hate to have them go to the luggage handlers! Maybe they will treat them a little nicer. Nice to meet you.
