This is a painting of some roses from my garden. I designed the background on the computer using Photoshop, printed the graphic on archival card stock and painted the roses in oils. I love integrating digital art with traditional art. It gives me so much more to work with. The digital background design is creative in and of itself. Then painting the oil design on it is exciting, uniting the two art forms.

These last few years, I've been writing more, but I've been yearning to paint again....you have inspired me. Thank you for sharing your beautiful work. I have one question - do the oils seep to the back of the card stock?

Thank you for dropping by! It is so nice to meet another artist here on Pink Saturday. In response to your question, I seal the surface with Krylon 1311 Mat Spray. The oils do not seep through the card stock. It works really well. I often mount the finished piece to an artist panel or to mat board and frame.
